Cappellini Koeda Coat Rack

The Cappellini Koeda Coat Rack by Nendo is a striking piece that challenges conventional design. Its minimalist metal frame, constructed from rods and square bars, forms a geometric box shape. The standout feature is an unexpected branch that juts out from within the frame, reversing the relationship between inside and outside. When a coat is hung on the branch, the weight centers within the frame, enhancing its stability. This allows for a lightweight and compact base. Designed under the direction of architect Oki Sato, Nendo has crafted this coat rack, demonstrating the same flexibility and innovation that characterizes their work in interior architecture, furniture, and graphics.
